Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress, best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Her first fame was the role she played in the 1980s film Tezaab and Tezaab, which she co-starred alongside the veteran actor Anil Koopor. In her next film Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. In her early years she began studying at a very early age. She ventured into acting as a youngster and struggled for several years because most of her initial films failed. Then she found her feet and went on to become one of the top actors on the Indian film business. After her marriage, she took some time to rest from her acting career prior to returning. She was recently one of the main characters in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit received eight Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen she was nominated for. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian honour in India. She also has a reputation as a social activist.
