Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to receive a score of a perfect of 10 in an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, a Romanian gymnastics instructor who later became the coach for Comaneci and first became aware of Comaneci aged six. Her first competition was at the junior national championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She took the title in 1970. In her first international competition in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she took home three gold medals. In 1973 and 1974 she was overall junior champion. The athlete won four golds and one silver medals at her first international competition for seniors that took place in 1975. This was her first time she participated as an older senior. The first female ever to perform reverse double saltos while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen she began her career in the entertainment industry by performing in the form of a figure skater. With her younger brother Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer during her teenage years. Early on she was a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. Ice Capades featured performances of skating on ice by actors.
