Laura Linney has been hailed as one of the most acclaimed actors. Her fame is as a strong actress but also fragile. After spending the summers at the company of her father Laura Linney fell in love by theatre. Later she attended Brown University she studied acting as well as at Juilliard School, after which the career of her choice took off. Following her graduation from Brown University, she started making her Broadway debut in the following year. Within two years of that, her first film hit the market, and following year, her debut on television. Her appearances have been on a variety of stages, films and television programs since. She has won many awards throughout her career. These include 4 Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. Yet, despite all the awards she has received the theatre is still her first love and she is still appearing on screen and on stage.
